The TLT stands for Tapered Lens Technology, a distortion-free curve design that makes objects in the polarized lenses look exactly as they would appear if you were not wearing eyewear at all. Normally light passing thorough a curved lens would refract, or distort, making your brain work harder to correct your view and resulting in eye fatigue. Smith used their Tapered Lens Technology to progressively taper the carbonic material along the curve, straightening out the light waves so you see what your eyes would normally see--without the annoying glare.
